2008 IXCR Classes:

YOUTH:

Course will be between ½ to 1 ½ miles long.

RIDER ELIGIBILITY AND CLASSIFICATION:

Youth Classes
A Adult rider's age on January 1 will determine his age for the year. You are recommended to race the same class that you race in any other AMA sanctioned series or comparable. If you race in a class in the 2007 Indiana XC Racing Series and are schedule for advancement, but need to stay in the same class to maintain the same class as another AMA sanctioned series, you will need to write a letter before the first race why you need to stay in that current or comparable class. The IXCR board will vote on your request. Any questions about this rule please contact an IXCR staff member.

“50cc Mod. Bike” Class
• 0-50cc Stock Motor
•  4 to 8 years old
• *50cc Modified Bike
• 50cc auto mix class is for the "fast" 50's that run premix fuel. Auto mix machine include the KTM Pro Senior and Junior, Cobra, LEM etc.

“50cc Inj. Bike” Class
• 0-50cc Stock Motor
• 4 to 8 years old
• *50cc Injected Bike
• 50cc auto Inject class is for machines like the KTM mini adventure, Yamaha PW 50, Suzuki JR50, XR50 with the shifter removed ( the XR50 must remain in 1 gear most parents usually choose to put it in 2nd).

“65cc Open Bike” Class
• 65cc 2 Stroke & 75-125cc 4 Stroke
• 7 to 11 years old
• *65cc Open Bike
• Race Ready Bikes OK

“85cc Open Bike” Class
• 85cc 2 Stroke & 75-150cc 4 Stroke
• 7 to 15 years old
• *85cc Open Bike
• Race Ready Bikes OK, AMA class 15 machines not allowed

“Super Mini ATV” Class
• 0-250cc Manual Clutch ATV
• 11 to 14 years old
• *Super Mini ATV
• Race Ready Quads Ok

“90cc Production ATV” Class
• 0-90cc 2 Stroke & 0-125cc 4 Stroke CVT or Auto Clutch
• 7 to 13 years old
• *90cc Production ATV
• Race Ready Quads Ok

“90cc Stock ATV” Class
• 0-90cc 2 Stroke & 0-125cc 4 Stroke CVT or Auto Clutch
• 7 to 13 years old
• *90cc Stock ATV
• No "Race ready" Quads

“70cc Open ATV” Class
• 0-70cc 2 Stroke & 0-90cc 4 Stroke CVT or Auto Clutch
• 7 to 11 years old

• 16 years of age or older

“A” Class
• “A” riders are previous years Indiana Cross Country Racing “B” Class 1st, 2nd & 3rd  in year-end  points Standings & any “A” Class rider that didn’t finish in the Championship position in year-end series points, also riders that were ranked in the top three in “B” Class in any other off-road series in previous year-end standings; or by Indiana Cross Country Series discretion.
• 16 years of age or older
• *Open ATV

“B” 16-25 Class
• “B” riders are previous years Indiana Cross Country Racing “C” Class 1st, 2nd , 3rd, 4th & 5th  in year-end  points Standings & any “B” Class rider that didn’t finish in the “B” Class 1st, 2nd & 3rd in year-end series points, also riders that were ranked in the top five in “C” Class in any other off-road series in previous year-end standings; or by Indiana Cross Country Series discretion.
• 16 - 25 age of age
• *Open ATV

“B” 26+ Class
• “B” riders are previous years Indiana Cross Country Racing “C” Class 1st, 2nd , 3rd, 4th & 5th  in year-end  points Standings & any “B” Class rider that didn’t finish in the “B” Class 1st, 2nd & 3rd in year-end series points, also riders that were ranked in the top five in “C” Class in any other off-road series in previous year-end standings; or by Indiana Cross Country Series discretion.
• 26 years of age or older

“C” 16-21 Class

• 16- 21 years of age

• 0-249cc 2 stroke or 0-350cc 4 Stroke (Honda 250X, 250EX and 300EX; Kawasaki Mojave 250 and Lakota 300; Polaris Trail Blazer & Scrambler 250; Suzuki Quad Sport 230, 250 and Z-250; Yamaha Blaster, Warrior and Raptor 350; and Kymco Mongoose 250 and 300. Modifications are permitted. Maximum engine displacement is 350cc.) No 400ex’s or 250r 2 strokes

"Utility Open" Class
• Utility Open riders; or by Indiana XC Racing discretion.

• * Utility Open ATV

"Utility Unlimited" Class
• Utility Unlimited riders; or by Indiana XC Racing discretion.
• 0-840cc 4-wheel or 2-wheel drive shaft or chain-driven automatic transmission/clutch ATV that does not have racks or rack availability as standard equipment. Renegade, Scrambler, Wolverine and V-Force machines eligible.
• 16 years of age or older
• * Utility Unlimited ATV
