IXCR loses a family member
Chris Earlywine, a GNCC Tour veteran and owner of America's largest indoor motocross facility in maysville Kentucky, died Friday at a local hospital after suffering an apparent heart attack while practicing for this weekend's GBC National. Chris was married to IXCR's Becky Mullins sister Nikki. Some racers may remember Chris from him and Nikki running the races at Haspin Acres from 1999-2001.Chris left us while doing his favorite thing, riding his quad. He rolled to a stop while slouched over the left side of the quad during Friday’s WPSA ATV Powersports Tour practice at Virginia Motorsports Park in Petersburg, VA.
Earlywine was treated on site by the WPSA medical crew, as well as Dr. Joe Ragon of the 88Live to Ride Mobil Medical Unit, and was then transported via ambulance from the track to South Side Medical Center, where he passed with his loving wife Nikki by his side. Earlywine was only 38 years old.
Visitation will be Thursday, July 5th from 4-8pm and Funeral services will be Friday, July 6th at 11:00am at the Showalter Blackwell Long funeral home in Connersville, In. with burial to follow at the Elkhorn Cemetery in Liberty Indiana. People attending services are asked to wear racing attire like tshirts and jerseys.
